Osorine forced a fast early pace and outstayed Joe Gaitens in the final drive. The latter found the going to Ids liking and ran to his best form. Cheivntuc closed a big gap and ran a good race. Booger Red finished gamely under punishment, but was unable to get to the winner. Casque ran well and was on the inside in the deep going for the. entire trip. Smiley Corbett showed great speed for a half mile, then tired quickly.
