COMMISSION ADOPTS WALK-UP START. I.cxiiiglon. Ky.. April 2i». -With Johnson N. Cam ihii. now in New York on business, as the only absentee, the new Kentucky State Kacing Commi-sion met here today ami organized with Col. K. P. lav. chairman: Col. Milton Young, vice chairman, and W. K. Itiihvcll. of Irankfott. secretarv. The meet-jug was devoted largely to di-i ussii n. Messrs. Young and Clay acipiainl ing iaj. foxball A. Daingerlield and George J. I-ong. the new ineinlM-rs. with tin-acts of the commission, past ami contemplated. Col one! Youngs amendments to the rules governing the starter and his assistants were adapted. These amendments provide for the walk-up start on all Kentucky tracks ami prohibit the use of ball whips .mil the holding of horses by assistant .starters. The following licenses were granted: Trainers cc.irge Bead, Bella Drake. Ueorae Dam. cliff Ham men. .b.hn l. Keene. T. If. Ken. Law Marion. P.. Murray and J. D. OtTutt. Jockeys Carl Canz. Fred Herlierl. George Mountain and Kichard Si-ovillc. Apprentice-: Clarence Dishman for J. N. Camden and Henry Kadlke for J. 1. Keene. Tin- application of jockey J. Mclatyre was referred lo Commissioner |,.:ng for investigation.
