OFF DAY AT SHEEPSHEAD BAY. Large Crowd Witnesses Decision of Program Devoid of Special Features — Imprint Wins Pansy. New York, July 1. — Imprint again demonstrated her ability over the turf course by easily winning the Pansy Stakes today from Daagef Mark and four others. As in her previous good race over the grass, she dashed into a Mad lead at the start and was never headed, winning with something to spare by a BMd length and a half from Danger Mark, with Miss Nett third. The other two-year-old race of the day was for maidens and it brought about a stirring finish when Star Charter, after heavy backing, nosed out Special Brew, the favorite. Star Charter was as good as lr, to 1, but was backed to 5 to 1 before the close. In the steeplechase The Welkin was an easy winner and Nimbus was in hand to win the mile dash, though McGee drew the tiuish fine and the winners margin was only a short neck. In this race Kllen-a Dale made her first start of the year in the east and. after leading into the stretch, aait badly Bad finished last of the four that raced. Hampton Court lost another race when he was beaten home in the mile and a sixteenth over the turf course. Riuht after the start Jupiter Joe crossed to the rail and in doing so lie bumped back Hampton Court. Zienap and J. II. Reed. To reach second place Hampton Court had this big early handicap to overcome and his race was a good one, though he was beaten. Hoaaecrcal won the race at the end of the card and the Whitney cast off. Bar None, carrying 140 pounds, raced to the place. It was an off day, but the crowd was a large one and the sport good from the first race to the last. Tin- program Imuks for the Yonkers meeting will be issued tomorrow.
