The latter closed a hjaae gap and. finishing resolutely, would have beaten the winner in a few more strides. LADY ORMICANT was shuttled back at the start and. finishing with a mah, outgamod DEMONESS for third place. The latter ran well to the stretch, hut tired. MYRTLE MARION made up much groaad. NORA EMMA showed speed, hut failed to stay. NEVER AGAIN set the pace to the final furlong and ipiit suddenly. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. FRIEND HARRY was shuttled back on the first turn and moved up rapidlv while rounding the far turn, but tired in the last fifty yards. CLIFF EDGE closed a big gap and finished with a rush. PLAIDMORE set a fast pace for three-quarters and tired. The others were alwavs outpaced.
