August 25. — Manager Richard Dwy.r of the Utah Jockey Club today announced that President Cotidion had notified him that the fall meeting :,; Salt Lake will Dot be held because of the passu:., by the city council of an ordinance prohibiting pool selling and bookmaking within the city limits. Bnetta Vista track, which the Utah Jockey club had under lease, is within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City.
