SALE OF THE SANFORD STABLE. Saratoga, N. Y., August 27. — Before the races today the Fasig-Tipton Company conducted an auction ■ale of horses in training from the stable of John Sanfgord. In all. there were twenty-four head sold, for a total of $ Id, 730, represent lag an average of a trifle more than 22 each. This was a satisfactory ■bowing when it is considered that only six of the lot brought ,000 and over each. The best price* were paid when it. T. Wilson. Jr., bid ,600 for Pa ton, and when Baron Dieskau went to Ed Smith for a like amount. In addition to the Sanford horses the filly Imprint, from the stable of Peter Wimmer. was sold to R. D.
