EXPANSION FOR LEXINGTON DIRECTORS OF KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION PLAN FOR COMING SEASONS RACING. Decide Upon Spring Meeting of Thirteen Days, as Against Seven Last Year Catesby Woodford Chosen as President of Association. Lexington, Ky.. January -1. Catesby Woodford of Bourbon County, master of Raeeland Stud and lilatlvc and business partner of Chairman K. F. Oiay of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, who is likewise owner of the Runnymede Stud, is tin? new president of the Kentucky Association. The retiring president is D. Gray Falconer, county attorney for Fayette County, Mr. "Woodford was elected at the annual meeting of the directors held here this morniiifr. O. JI. Gheuault, proprietor of the Spendthrift Stud, was chosen vice-president. G I. Wilson, owner of Horsemens Headquarters, was re elected secretary. Younger Alexander continues as treasurer and James I Ross was re-appolnted ,s track superintendent. The directors present and vidlng were I. Gray Falcouei. J. X. Camden, G. D. Vlln. IT. Price Headley, Charles II. Berryman, John MeClintoek and It. L. Baker, nie absentees were ciitesby Woodford, .Matt J. Winn and Irving II. WheatcriJtt. The last-named two are at Juarez. It waslecided that a spring meeting of thirteen days, subject to the approval of the State Racing t i tvission. will be given. This will be an increase ol six days as compared with the past year. A preference for Saturday, April 29, as the opening date was expressed, but action in this respect was il f erred imt.il the next meeting. Four additional stakes for the spring meeting were authorized. They are to close February 1, and the matter of naming them was left to the executive committee. One will be at one mile and one-, sixteenth, for three-year-olds and. upward, another at one mile, gelling, for throe-year,"olds and upward, eiiii to have : added.
