FOUR FAVORITES SCORE AT JUAREZ. El Paso, Tex.. January 11. Despite a card devoid or any particular feature a fair-sized number of race-goers attended the races at Juarez today. Four favorites and a well-backed second choice were returned winners, and the public had much the best of it, the books losing heavily on the day. Work-box, winner of the sixtli race, was bid up to ,100 by W. R. Hurley, trainer for E. R. Bradley, but was retained by J. Day. Virgie Casse. well fancied by the stable connections in the third race, after being prominent in the early running, bled in the last sixteenth of the race, thereby losing any chance she may have had. "William Walker lias begun schooling Apologize, Milpltas and Sir Edward over the jumps here and hopes to perfect them during the winter so that they will be useful through the iield when he ships his striug to Baltimore next spring. Sir Edward is the oldest of the trio, being now eight years old, while Milpitas is seven and Apologize live years of age. Their recent performances seem to indicate that their usefulness as racers on the Hat has ebbed, so Mr. Walker will try to turn them to account over the jumps.
