JOCKEYS INJURED IN ACCIDENT AT TAMPA. Tampa, Fla., January 25. The first serious mishap to occur at this track came with the running of the oiening race when Ceaser. Hate and Gilvedear, ridden respectively by A. Wrispen. Gerondo and B. Steele, went down in a heap. The boys were thought to lie seriously injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Wrisiien was found to have suffered st dislocated hip, besides minor injuries. Gerondo sustained many bruises about the face and head and had three teeth knocked out. Steele remained unconscious for some time, but suffered no serious consequences. He stated the fall came as a result of his mount. Gilvedear. having broken his leg at the knee by stepping into a hole. Gilvedear was destroyed. The judges took jockey D. Murphy to task for his listless handling of The Moat, winner of the third race. The otliclals thought that the horse should have won off by himself. The bookmakers had another good day of it, as all the heavily lvacked favorites were beaten. Flirting and May Amelia were excused from starting on account of lameness. Marbles was found to be not as badly broken down as was at first thought and" probably will race again. W. O. Parmer was among todays arrivals and will remain several days licfore rejoining George M. Ilendrie iu southern Florida.
