Ogden Bishop is back from Europe with the news that Bashti. the American lilly by Adam, for which Harry Payne Whitney I paid 0,000 to the Newcastle Stable at Saratoga last August, is the popular ehoice in the winter lMioks for the coming British Oaks. Bishop left a modest wager of the sentimental sort on Bashti with Tatlersalls. Mr. Bishop has two horses in training this winter. One of them, a two-year-old colt, by Adam FUr-tineer. is in France, and tho other, Zillah, a three-year-old. by Handspring or Adam Airgin .Soli, is at the Bishop farm in AVesehester County, nenr Mount Kisco. Air. Bisliopsays that his Adam colt in France, a half-brother to Spooner and Danger Mark, is a well-set-up youngster of the Adam type and is promising.
