LEXINGTON STAKES WELL PATRONIZED. Nearly Two Hundred Entries Received for Four Recently Closed Kentucky Association Events. Lexington. Ky., February 11. The four additional stakes closed on Wednesday of last week by the Kentucky Association for its spring meeting of eleven days, Saturday, April 20 to Thursday. May 11, received an aggregate of 101 entries, an average of practically forty-eight horses to the race, and as to quality the nominations represent the best of the racing material in the south aud middle west. A nomination fee of .0 from each entrant was required, with the proviso that each starter is to pay an additional 5. and to each of the four stakes 1911.sh0 is added. The money division in each is seventy per cent, to the winner, twenty per cent, to the second and ten per cent, to the third, so that the winner of the laast valuable of the four events is assured of a sum in excess of .00 and the winner of the richest will draw something over .,000. With the rich Breeders futurity for two-y.ear-olds as the stellar feature and the Blue Grass Stakes, exclusively for three-year-olds, and the Camden Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, as satellites of a higher order than the four stakes just closed, the Kentucky Association will present the most attractive program it has afforded In the last quarter of a century. Secretary G. B. Wilson, in making announcement, of the entries, said that the olliclals of the association are much gratified with the responses of the horse owners, and expressed himself as entirely satisfied that the forthcoming spring meeting will in every respect be the greatest in the associations history.
