CANADAS HALF-MILE TRACK CIRCUIT. It is reported that tlie half-mile tracks of. eastern Canada are planning to organize witli the idea of entering into reciprocal relations-witli the Canadian Baciug Associations. Last year A. M. Orpen, who owns the Dunerin Park track at Toronto, offered the IKisition of presiding judge to Joseph -. Murphy. The latter put the matter up to the Canadian Racing Associations and asked for their sanction. He was told that if Mr. Orpen would raise his purses to 00 and respect the licenses of the clubs in the Canadian Racing Associations, that they would approve of his officials and sanction the meeting. Mr. Orpen had his book out and refused to change it. so Judge Murphy refused the position. If tie pro-IMised half-mile circuit should materialize, it would take in such cities as .Montreal, Quebec, St. John. Toronto and Sherbrook. Deloriniier Park will be the first of these minor tracks to hold, racing in Montreal this spring, and will run in conflict with tu AVoodblue meeting iu Toronto.
