GUS HARTRIDGE was shut off at the start, but closed a big gap and came through on the inside in the stretch into a fast going and game second. EASTMAN ran well, but was much used in following the pacemaker and tired in the stretch. DOODLE DANDY finished fast. SILAS GRUMP crossed his legs when entering the homestretch and fell. KINNELOX moved into prominence with a rush and. after being saved with the leaders for a half, wore them down in the homestretch and outstayed OLD BOY in the final drive. The latter showed much speed in paeemaking for a half mile, but bored out in the homestretch and tired. EMMA STUART was taken to the outside and came wide on the stretch turn and covered more ground than the first two. SEMI-tjUAAER ran well and finished close up. RUBY KNIGHT finished fast. SPECIAL BREW, crowded back in the first furlong, was taken to the outside while rounding the far turn and moved up rapidly into the lead, but bolted to the outside fenc6 when entering the homestretch.
