FAVORITES SUCCESSFUL AT TAMPA. Tampa. Fla.. February 14. Klan. San Gil and Chanate were three favorites that took purses this afternoon. With good handling. Icust Bud and Tainar would also have been successful. The last named pair were beaten by small margins after hard drives. Jockey Troxler carried off the riding honors bv piloting three winners. There is some talk of returning to Peusacola for a fifteen-days meeting after the close of racing here. Todavs attendance was again good, but was made up mostly of first-time visitors, which accounted for a light volume of play. Giovanni Raggio, Jubilee Juggins, Merry Gift and Van Dan were purchased today by A. C. Blum and will be shipped to Mexico tonight via Jacksonville, where they will join sixteen other, racers recently secured bv Mr. Blum. $ Jockeys T. Murphy and F. Jackson were each suspended for two days by tbe starter for disobedience at tlio post. The judges did not like the looks of the betting on the fourth race and cautioned jockey Uolmes ou Siiilong to do his best.
