JOHN LOUIS was kept far back early, and his rider made a very late move and then just failed to get up and would have won in another stride. BAD NEWS showed much speed and hung on gamely. CIIAPULTEPEC showed great speed in paeemaking, but fouud the distance too far and quit badly. THE WOLF ran well and finished gamely. CROSSOVER ran poorly. Overweights Bad News, 1 pound.
