The latter ran close to the rail all the way, saved ground on every turn and finished fast and gamely. MAKGEKFM ran in forward contention, but was tiring at the end. WORKING LAD was bumped into and knocked off bis stride when entering the homestretch, -but recovered Quickly and finished with a rush. DONALD MACDOXALD was cut off 011 the first turn and moved up fast on the outside on the backstretch and cut across to the inside at the half-mile post, but got into a pocket and was sharply cut off. then finished gamelv. COUNTLESS ran lorwardly and gamely throughout, closed up into second place while round ing the far turn and made a resolute effort in the stretch, then tired as if short. LAHORE, victim of a poor ride, was pulled up at the start and taken the longest way. but finished fast. 1IANBRIDGE lu n f.it and ran a good half, then tired. JUDGE MONCK also ran a fast half.
