TAMPA JOCKEY IS SUSPENDED. Peak Pulls Up Tom Shaw After Being Cautioned and Ruling: Follows. Tampa. Fla.. February 23. Cold and disagreeable weather again held down the attendance to small proportions today and marred the sport. There were no outstanding features, the racing being, ordinarv and routine. Lord Wells and Shawnee were lirst choices to score. Shawnee was bid up to, 500, an advance of 250 over the entered price and became the property of C. N. Freeman. In the closing race, the rapidly receding price on Tom Shaw caused the judges to caution jockev Peak and his action in easing his mount near the finish because of threatened interference from Lovu Watches brought about his iudefikite suspension. Alio Gooding, the medium of sharp backing, showed a decided improvement over his last essay when ridden by Bergen. General Manager John Hachmeister of the Latonia Jockey Club returned today from Fort Myers, where he went for the fishing and will remain here several days receiving entries to the Latonia and Louisville stakes that close March 1. He will go to Jacksonville from here. Mr. Hachmeister predicts that tho coming season will be the greatest in the history of Kentucky racing and is planning many changes for the Kenton County track. The riders for the amateur race tomorrow are as follows: Crenel. Mr. Reedj Rrnnn Wall, Mr. Carney: Sir Compton. Mr. Moody; Haymarket, Mr. Lang-ford; How About You, Mr. Smith; Uncle Walter. Mr. Roach; Bcrtmonr, Mr. Rarco; Tennessee Rov, Mr. Austin: John Garner, Mr. Judy; Herman Dovle, Mr. nerindon.
