HYNICKA closed an early gap into fonVard contention and hung on gamely under punishment. DAY MAY made up ground slowly and finished close up. ELMA set the early pace and tired as if not ready. IMPRINT was gaining at the end after having beep outpaced to the stretch. ANTENOR set the early pace and ran a f;ist half, then tired. The other two were outclassed. DONALD MACDONALD was taken back behind the leaders and met with some interference when trying for the lead In the stretch, but could not concede so much weight at the distance and tired in the last furlong.
