IMPROVEMENTS FOR LATONIA. Old Staff of Officials Re-Elected and Changes in Plant Decided Upon at Annual Meeting. Cincinnati, O., March 7. The annual meeting of the stockholders of the I.atouia Agricultural Association was held at the clubhouse yesterday, and the old officials were again chosen, as follows: President, Harvey Myers: vice-president, John 11. Dillon: secretary-treasurer. John Hachmeister: directors, C. A. Tilles, S. W. Adlcr, John Condon and Joseph Martin. A meeting of the directors followed the stockholders session and suggested improvements were taken ip for consideration. After an inspection of the Iilant it was decided to spend from 0,000 to 5.-K0 on the course and stands. The grandstand will be altered, retiring rooms and boxes going in on the top floor, the roof of the betting shed will be raised ten feet and the offices of the club and of the pari-mutucl department will also be arranged in a different manner. The grandstand, betting ring and "paddock will be connected. The clubhouse will also lie overhauled, the stables will get new roofs and the track will he resoiled. And, still further, all of the buildings will receive a now coat of paint. leneral Manager Hachmeister will remain here a few days lo see that things get started. All of the officials were much pleased over the prospects or. the spring meeting, as the entries to stakes surpass those of former years. The total number received, so far is 770. and it is believed that other entries still in the mails will swell the number to SOO. an average of 100 to a stake, which is something of a record.
