STAR .TASAMINE outbroke the others and. setting the pace fast, drew away into a long lead after entering the homestretch and was easing up at the end. MACK B. EUBANKS rah In close and game pursuit, but was tiring at the end. DUVAL began slowly and met with much interference, but tiuished with a rush into third place. POLKA, ! suddenly and vastly improved, moved up into a contending position soon after the start and followed the i lenders close up to the stretch turn, then finished with a rush through the stretch and won going away. EMMA STUART was always in close pursuit of the pacemakers and outgamed the tiring GOLDEN RUBY for second place. The latter showed much speed and set a fast pace for five furlongs, then tired when challenged. HEINE ran a good half and quit. AUNT KATE was crowded out ot any chance at the start. ! THIRD RAIL and BANIVES quit badly after running well to the stretch. Overweights Heart Pang, 3 pounds.
