CANADA, last to leave the barrier, moved up fast and was gaining slowly on the winner at the end. PLEASANT, a slow liegiiiner, closed a big gap and, making .a fast stretch sprint, was overhauling the leaders and would have won in a few more strides. CLARA W. ran away a half mile before the start, then set a fast pace to the stretch, but tired and quit. IIOOPA ran well. Scratched 14301 Coed. 105. IIOYLE moved up fast when passing the half, but was iiearlv knocked down bv AIK. DOCK and never recovered afterward. MR. DOCK showed the most early s-.eed and set a fast pace, but quit badly after running a good half. ADA O. WALKER and BARNEY OLDIIELD rsn below their best forms. Overweights Rinda, 1 pound.
