He will ship a string of horses here in a few days, headed by the highly-tried two-year-olds Ada Bay, AlimiNt and Favance. Mr, Kelly figured as a turfman in the heyday of racing around Chicago tracks. Jimincz was one of the best known of the horses that raced in his colors. The horses of A. B. Spreckels which arrived from Oakland this week, are collectively the best lot iu appearance of any shipped here from the far west since the days when the late "Lucky" Baldwin raced Ills noted stable here. Among the Sprockets youngsters that are credited with having been highly tried arc the colts Millo. Horus, Narfiauce, Balder and the fillies Iduu and Zimri. The horses that trainer Fred Luzader will send to Lexington to race in J. R. Wainwrights colors lie will intrust to his brother, Al Luzader, and jockey N. Kennedy. He will go up at intervals to see them run, but his time is too much occupied with the other members of the stable to leave Churchill Downs for any length of time before the spring meeting begins here. The horses he will send to Lexington are ready to race. Mr. Wainwright is much improved in health by a sojourn at West Baden and will lie able to attend the coming meeting at Lexington. After the conclusion of the meeting there he will come to Louisville. Trance, Al Muller, Royal Captive, Sigurd and Intrinsic, the stars in this stable, are all doing well at the Downs, but none of those cracks are among the horses that trainer "Luzader will ship to Lexington. Al Kirby received a letter from Howard Oots asking him to secure stall rooin for seven horses liere. Mr. Kirby secured quarters for him at Douglas Park. Every stall is now either filled or engaged at Churchill Downs, and several stables outside of the grounds have also been taken. The sf ables at Douglas Park also are being rapidly filled. Trainer Luzader is glad now that lie reconsidered an intention to dispose of the veteran performer, Gypsy King, in Mexico, as the old son of Sorcerer is going along well again aud is likely to pick up a purse or two at the coming Lexington meeting.
