PLUTOCRAT, awav forwardlv " and running in his best form, took a slight lead on the last turn and held on gamely in the final drive. OLD BOY ran in closest pursuit and made a game effort all the way. BUTTER BALL finished with a rush and was going fastest at the end. BERTIS. probably best, was away slowly and forced to go wide, but closed a big gap in the last quarter. ROSE MGEE went fairly well. DILATORY closed a gap and made a game stretch effort, but was not good enough. FREE LANCE finished fast and is promising. TOM OTT went a good half and tired.
