NOTES OF THE TURF. Thomas Welsh, the prominent trainer who former Iv saddled horses for the Newcastle Stable, August Belmont. H. P. Whitney and others, is on his way lo England to witness the running of the Derby and Oaks. Bryson and Jeroeae B. Beapeaa for *5.7oo. which he alleges is due as a balance on a real estate tian-ar Hon. F.arle alleges that the defendants agreed to purchase a tract of land from him at Spring Lake. Ky.. it being their purpose to pre rent a St. Louis racing concern, from establishing, u racecourse al that place.
