MARCHM0NET TAKES LAGOON HANDICAP. Salt Lake City. Utah, June 8.— A card brimfnl with contention, with a handicap at six furlongs as the stellar attraction, and perfect weather conditions, attracted one of the lx-st crowds of the meeting to Lagoon Park today. The feature race marked the initial appearance of Eutield on the La-oon trick, and his debut excited more than ordinary interest because lie was always a great favorite with local race-goers. He ruled a well-backed second choice but. breaking slowly, could not overcome the disadvantage entailed at the start and made up little ground in the running of the race. Marchmoaet, running consistently, overcame Madmans lead and drew clear to Win handily in new track record time. The success of but two of the public choices gave the layers a good break.
