•DUKE OF GLOUCESTER" IS DEAD. S- J William J. Thompson, who long held sway in New Jersey when racing Soarished in that state, and who was widely known as the "Duke of Gloucester," lied last week at his birthplace near Belfast. Ireland, whither he went to reciti crate following an ordeal in the bankruptcy courts.
