RACING GOSSIP FROM LATONIA Cincinnati. O., July 18. There will be few horses left at Latonia after this week. There were numerous shipments yesterday and today, the bulk foing to Louisville and Lexington to await the fall meetings. Three carloads went to White Sulphcr Springs, W Va., where a three-days meeting will begin Thursday. Auother carload went to Montreal to take part In the meeting at King Edward Park. The prospects for the White Sulphur Springs meeting are good, according to Tom Brown, who will bo in charge of the affair. He left for the scene last night. Jockeys McTaggart, Mountain and Gould will leave Wednesday night. Colonel Alex Labold. who will be the presiding judge, and B. J. Mayer, who will be his associate, will also leave on Wednesday night. Quite a number of Clncinnatians will go on the same train. Among tho horses that left yesterday were Alma Boy. Nan Ferguson, Svzygy, Chalice, Automatic, Spalding. Hiram, Louise K., Calash, Lcsh. Boserrian, Outpost, Harcourt, Sona, Otogo, Sayvlllc. John Robert. Chemulpo, Tod Har-ringtou, Loyal Maid and Solon Shingle. C. C. Campau came here from Montreal to secure additional horses for the King Edward Park meet lug. Among those that he induced to ship to Montreal were II. McCarren, M. Burton. F. Goring, Sr.. and G. R. Bryson. Some of tho horses that will race at White Sulphur Springs will afterwards ship to Montreal. During the running of the Cincinnati notel Handicap at Latonia last Saturday R. L. Thomas Polls was jumped on and so badly cut down that trainer McDaulel fears it will bo live or six weeks before tho sou of Voter can be trained again. Barney Schreiber went home to Bridgcton, Mo., at the close of the Latonia meeting to perfect his arrangements for the selling ofWoodlaud Farm. Former jockey John Gardner sustained a broken arm at Cincinnati Monday while about to start out for Windsor. - -
