AUSPICIOUS OPENING AT BUTTE. Rutto, Moot., July 19. One of the largest and most representative crowds ever present at a race meeting in Butte attended the opening of the Montana , racing season here today, "and .though the card, offered was somewhat deficient in class, the contests wore not lacking in interest. The chief attraction of the afternoon was a race over the Futurity Course, which resulted in an easy victory for AVorkbox, from the stable of the veteran G. B. Morris. Speculation was brisk in the ring, fifteen layers attending to the wants of the speculators and en-joying a profitable day.
