WILSON SUCCESS CONTINUES TRAINER HEALEY FOLLOWS TIP HIS TRIPLE OF MONDAY BY SCORING A DOUBLE. Beaucoup and Aldebaran Win for President of Saratoga Association Over Heavy Track at Hamilton Jockey Byrne Has Successful Day. Hamilton, Ont., August 1.". Jockey Mass, who had the mount, took him under slight restraint after opening an easy lead and for the remainder of the trip, it was simply a question of by how much Aldobanui would win. licaueoup scored his first victory of the season when he won today. This formerly good racer has been troubled with bad legs and it lias taken much patience on trainer Ilealeys part to round him into winning form again, lie won with great case after making most of his own pace. Jockey Byrne was in the limelight during the afternoon. Besides winning with Eagle Bird, he also scored with Frolic and Vreeland. His linisli on the latter was a splendid effort and in the final drive he outrode Taplin and Winglield. William Garth showed up a promising three-year-old jumper in the Green Steeplechase in Andy Chis-holni. a colt by Norwood, a sire that lias made a reputation in Virginia for getting good fencers. Andy Chisholm was making his maiden effort through the field today and lie jumped in a bold and fearless fashion. He made the pace until the last quarter, when the more experienced and highly tried Iligh-kliridge overtook him and heat him to the linishing -mark. Mr. Garth considers Andy Chisholm equally Ji3 promising as T. S. Martin, a colt that was considered the champion of his day when he carried the Garth colors a Tew seasons back. The Kentuckians share of the purses came with the running cf the race over the grass course, which was won by J. I!. Respess Northcut, a maiden three-year-old that had been highly tried by his owner. The races were run over a muddy track and the change in the going was responsible for numerous scratches. Tlie withdrawals reduced the lields materially, hut enough remained in to make interesting contests. Five favorites won, and the public had the belter of the layers on the afternoons speculation. It is said that S. C. Iliblreth contemplates shipping a carload of his horses from here to Slieepsheait Bay to lie rested for the fall meeting at Iimlico. Many of the Hildreth racers have gone lame, the latest being the good two-year-old Fuggins, which is said to have come out limping after his recent victory. A. F. Dayton arrived this morning with the good sprinter Ragman. The latter has been freshened during the summer and is reported as being in good condition. Jockey C. Feak accompanied the stable. After G. M. Millers victory last night he was boosted 00 over his entered price of by William Walker, who formerly owned the horse. Mr. Simons took G. M. -Miller from Mr. AValker and the latter has never missed an opportunity of retaliating. William Garth will send a carload of horses to Fimlico at tin? conclusion of the present meeting. The lot will include three jumpers that will take part in the Hunts meeting. William Oliver will also ship the Tyree horses to Fimlico next week, where tliev will he rested for the fall meeting of the Maryland Jockey Club. All of the big stables lacing here have signified an intention .of racing at Iimlico. J. ,T. McCalfcrty will leave for Kentucky next week to take up several two-year-olds that he has turned out there. One of them is a colt by Russell - Clcora. a mare that McCalfcrty raced with much success a few seasons back. J. S. Ward has turned Sinfran over to William Garth to be schooled through the field.
