DESCENDANT showed much speed and set a fast pace, but quit badly when challenged in the stretch. TILLINGIIAST ran well, but tired from a strenuous attempt to overtake DESCENDANT. KOOTENAY followed the leader closelv in the early running and, saving ground by a close stretch turn, came rapidly in the last quarter and outgamed BILL MAYHAM in the final strides. BILL MAYHAM set a fast pace and only succumbed right at the end. ROYAL STONE closed a gap and appeared dangerous on the turn for home, but was shut off. WILTRUDE S. tired. BlW f.RF.RNLEAF set a hot pace and only gave way in the final sixteenth. DELENA came fast when too laft,, PISKRA quit at the three-quarters after running in closest pursuit to the stretch.
