ADDITIONS TO LEXINGTON SALE. Lexington. Ky., September 2. Catesby Woodford, proprietor of Raceiaud "Stud. Col. E. F. Clay, of Rusinymede Stud and Clay Bros., have decided to hold a sale of their yearlings on the farm of the first named, two miles from Paris. Kv on the Georgetown pike. The sale will take place on Tuesday morning, September 10. beginning promptlv at 10:30 and special cars will be run from Lexington before and after the sale to accommodate patrons. Cars leaving the sale will return, to Lexington in ample time for the races the same afternoon. Good judges of thoroughbreds have pronounced these to lie among the best yearlings in Kentuckv tliis season, and, as many of them are by the leading sire, Star Shoot, it is expected that they will bo eagerly sought. The sale Is under the management of the Kentucky Sales Company, and will be held in connection with their sale which occurs during the Lexington meeting. Catalogues of both sales will be mailed upon application to the Kentucky Sales Company, Lexington, Ky. Among the late additions to the sale at Lexington during the running meeting in September aro consignments from II. T. Oxnards Blue Ridge Stud and R. J. Hancock and Sons Ellerslie Stud In Virginia and W. OB. Macdonoughs Ormondale Stud in California. These, together with what yearlings had previously been listed, make the number to bo sold something over 300 head, including the get of nearly every prominent sire iu America and from nil the larger, establishments. The sale will include nearly ninety per cent, of the entire crop and should bring together every man in the market for a colt or filly, as it is, practically, the last opportunity to purchase material for two-year-old racing in 1!12. Catalogues for this sale will be issued about September 7. They will be found to contain many brothers and sisters to high class stake winners and campaigners, the various breeders having reserved their best matrons and mated them with stallions that have sent to the turf its best performers. . j
