FOUR HUNDRED HORSES AT NEW TRACK. Spokane, Wash., September 2. More than 400 horses are training over the new course of the Coeur dAlene Fair and Racing Association at Alan, where a thirty-six days meeting will open September 11 and, save for one weeks intermission during the six days racing at the Interstate Fair, to run con Hnuouslv until October 28. When the Anaconda meeting closes this coming f!iturday. 150 or 200 more horses will come from lucre in three special trains arranged for to leave Butte Sundav morning. From California and British Columbia during the week will come special sbip- luents. Expectations of 000 horses for racing at the jiow track will be more than fulfilled. A Work on the new 5,000 course was practically completed a week ago. The new stand, which has a seating capacity of 5,000, is entirely finished and now bears aloft the Haunting pennant of the Coeur dAlene Fair and Racing Association in green and white, the association colors. The trad: has been worked over for nearly a month bv the horses now here and is in grand con-dltion. Early work-outs leave no doubt but that it will be fast.
