NOTES OF THE TURF. A meeting of tho Canadian Racing Associations will be held at Montreal Tuesday. The New York Legislature has taken a recess until September 18, and is expected to adjourn by September 2.!. R. W. Walden will train Royal Meteor for J. E. Davis and Firestone will lie schooled for jumping by Matt Brady. James R. Keenes physician reported in London yesterday that the American financiers progress toward recovery was highly satisfactory. Terns Trick worked a half mile in :4S over the new track of the Coeur dAleno Fair and Racing Association recently. This goes to show that the now course will be fast.
