"t less tban the total, in the mutuels and auctions for the nine days in the fall or lsiw. John Bradley, who has leen handling yearlings nt the Idle Hour Farm for E. It. Bradley, has bigned a contract to go to Australia as trainer for Andrew Robinson, of the Allendale Farm, near Melbourne. The contract is for three years. Mr. Robinson has purchased about thirty head of thoroughbreds and he will ship them along with several trotters yet to be purchased about October 15. William Steele left here yesterday for Strafford, with twenty-five thoroughbred yearlings, the rla., the three-year-old Eagle Thistle and Nellie Bly. dam of Hound the "World. Nellie Bly is in foal to Peep oDay and Is to lie mated next spring with Bohemian "Glass, an Imported stallion that is now nt Mr. Steeles place. Twenty f tIlc yearlings are lillies and Mr. Steele says it is his intention to mate them when they are mature with his horse. Homer Skirvin, Clarence Turner and Walter An-dress are three bovs who showed promise of ability iu the saddle here last week. Skirvin is a Latonia boy and is under contract to Hugh MeOarren. Turner is an Indianapolis hid and is under contract to Thomas .1. Shannon, trainer for Luke Le Blond, of Cincinnati, and Andres Is from Latonia and Is tinder contract to Gallaher Brothers, of this city.
