NOTES OF THE TURF. It. F. Carmans horses have been transferred from Douglas Park to Churchill Downs.. Virtually all of the stables that raced at Lexington have been transferred to Louisville. Jnle Garsons three-year-old chestnut -filly, Leah, died at Laurel Saturday of pneumonia contracted en route from Montreal. A brother to Worth, in the stable of Gallaher Bros., is pronounced to be one of the best looking yearlings in Kentucky. II. P. Whitney is on his way home from England. Ills trainer, A. J. Joyncr, will not visit America the coining winter, according to report. T. W. Flynn lias shipped Lot la Creed. Home Run. Rubin, Granda. Azo, Bayerin. Starry Night, Buisseaii and other horses from Hawthorne to Louisville. Tod Cella, who is interested with Lon Johnson in Carlton G. and other horses, has arrived at Louis- villo and will remain throughout the Churchill Downs meeting. Eighteen of the largest aud most up-to-date type of pari-mutuel machines are being used in the Churchill Downs betting ring. They are of the 5, 0. and variety. Albert Dyment has joined the Board of Directors of the Ontario Jockey Club, to fill a vacancy caused by the death of George W. Torrance, one of the oldest members of the club. O. A. Bianchi has taken Presumption and other horses owned by James MeManus and himself from Louisville to Toronto to race. He will return to Louisville at the end of the week. American horses won four races at Maisons-La-llltte in France yesterday. Nash Turners Albv won the Prix de La Garonne selling of ,000. distance 1 3-S miles. The Prix Du Tibre, for three-year-olds, of ,000. distance one mile and six and one-half furlongs, wns won by W. K. Vanderbllts Hire. The Prix De La Baltique, for two-year-olds, of ,200, distance one mile, was won by n. B. Duryeas Manthorpes. Frank J. Goulds Jarretiero won the Prix De La Manche of ,000, distance five furlongs.
