WORKING LAD. after being well up in the early running, stood the final drive gamely and got up to win ill the last few strides. MERODE ran a good race and finished gamely. MERRY BEAU raced MEXICO into defeat, but tired from Ills early efforts. BOUNCING LASS went wide most of the way, but made up ground. THREE LINKS ran poorly for the entire way. DONCASTER was well ridden and, moving Into the lead after disposing of ARCITE, easily held JEFF BERNSTEIN safe In the final drive. The latter ran forwardly and gamely, but tired a trifle near the end. SEA CLIFF ran sluggishly and had to be hard urged for the entire race, but finished well. DISCONTENT closed a big gap and finished fast. MY FELLOW was also gaining at the end. WING TING closed a big gap in the stretch. ARCITE set the early pace, but quit badly and ran a bad race. PRESUMPTION ran well and had to go wide. SON-ADA and FREE LANCE tired in the stretch after running prominently for the first half. The others were beaten off all the way. MILLER ran well to the stretch and tired in the last furlong. MOCKLER went well. SILVER KNIGHT could not get up. CLIFTONIAN quit after setting the early pace and running well to the stretch.
