ANSWERS TO QUERIES. Geo. II., St. Louis, Mo. It lost. I. I. M., Chicago. It was a losing wager. Edw. D., Cincinnati, 0. The horse lost and so did the bet P. D., Cincinnati, O. The straight bet lost and the place bet was a draw. M. G. S.. Kenosha. Wis. Under the circumstances described it would be a losing bet. C. C. H., Chicago. The straight bet lost. The : place and show bets were draws. See reply to R. C. It. C, Grand Rapids-, Mich. The sum due on the parlay was 42, it being void as to Sir John Johnson because there was no separate place price against lilin. Had he finished unplaced the result would have been the same.
