NOTES OF THE TURF. Peacemaker, the high-priced two-year-old that John E. Madden will ship abroad shortly, will be trained in England by Joe Cannon, who handles Sir Martin. His important English engagements for 1912 include the St. Leger, the Two Thousand Guineas and Prince of Wales Stakes. lie is also engaged in the Grand Prix do Paris of 1912 and the Jockey Club Stakes of 1913. S. C. Hildreth and jockey C. n. Shilling are reported on the way back to the United States froir. Euglaud, whither they went recently with the idea of paving the way for the shipment abroad of the Kohler stable, which Mr. Hildruth will train. There seems to be some doubt whether the horses will go to England, after all, and Mr. Hildreths return lo this country and his subsequent moves are awaited with interest.
