Prospects Excellent for Successful Meetings at Both Places Opening: Program at Juarez Forecasts Sport of Exceptional Brilliancy, i Columbia, S. C, November 20. Judging by the steady stream or arriving horsemen and followers of rating, the thirty-three -days meeting under the auspices of the Columbia Racing Association, sehed-ii Ic 1 to begin tomorrow at the State Fair Grounds, romises to be more pretentious than at first nntici-latcd. Jt is the old story, at that, of the followers making the game, for there seems to be little local interest. The "invaders" are, however, of sullicient force to make the opening an auspicious one and a big influx is due with the closing of the Norfolk meeting tomorrow. The management have no fears of non-success. Several prominent owners are already here and advices from Latonia today indicate that the horsemen there, besides some from Lexington and Louisville, will be among the arrivals in the next few days. The plant in general is somewhat in the rough, but with continuous work everything should be in good condition by next week. The track proper is in splendid condition and is of a sand and loam mixture.
