THE C OLDEN BUTTERFLY ran under restraint for five furlongs, then took an easy lead while rounding the far turn and was under restraint at the end. OUTLAN set the early pace, but tired and was driving hard to outstay AGNAR at the cud. The latter closed a gap and finished with a belated rush. CAPSIZE moved up rapidly while rounding the far turn, but tired after getting to the leader. BEN LOYAL quit after going three furlongs in closest pursuit of the leader. SHERWOOD ran fairly well only.
