NOTES OF THE TURF. Frank J. Bryan, who served as steward for tho Jockey Club at Norfolk, has returned to New York. Jockey B. Steele has gone from Kentucky to Columbia to ride. Ho was accompanied east by his father, Allen Steele. The stewards of the Jockey Club have denied a trainers license to Matt B. Dooley and have tabled ,an application from Harry Richards for a trainers license. A special train left Latonia yesterday for Charleston, S. C, with the horses of J. R. Wainwright, J. S. Everman, George Land, P. II. Clark. N. B. Davis, James Grifiin, W. Hensley and Dr. Talbott. John Miller arrived at Lexington Sunday from New York with James R. Keenes Sweep and August Belmonts Fair Play. Sweep went to Castleton Farm and Fair- Play to Dlxiana Farm, ho having been leased to Maj. Thomas J. Carson for the season o 1912.
