LEW MARION BUYS YOUNG THOROUGHBREDS. Lexington. Ky., December 4. Lew Marion, former trainer for the St. James Stable, and the man who saddled Yo Tambien, Maid Marian, Federal, Mayor Johnson and other good ones, is getting together a string of his own to be prepared at Louisville this winter for a spring campaign in Kentucky. Today he purchased four yearlings and is now negotiating for a couple of two-year-olds from C. C. Patrick, owner of Highland Farm. He bought two chestnut colts by Ilermis. one out of Arlin and the other out of Crimea, and from Clem Pierce he bought a bay colt by Electioneer Carthagena and u bay colt by St. Siiiioniau II. Tormeuia.
