ARASEE IS AN EASY WINNER. Oakland Sots Fast Early Pace in Handicap at Juarez, hut Quits in Stretch. El Paso, Tex., Deeemlier 7. Arasce won the handicap at Juarez this afternoon with great case from Flying Wolf and Oakland. The race was run just to suit him. as Oakland set a fast pace and outran Flying Wolf for the lirst live furlongs. Arasce picked them both up when straightened away in the stretch racing. When jockey Carter called upon him a furlong from the finish he shot to the front and won off by himself. Oakland quit badly in the final hundred yards and was forced to give way to Flying Wolf at the end. Pride of Lismore won the live-furlongs allowance race witli ease from such speedy ones as John Griflin II.. Napa Nick, Harrigan and Folllc Levy. Off well, he went right to the front and was never in any danger, winning by a comfortable margin from John Grillin II. and Napa Nick. Neither Harrigan nor Follie Levy were dangerous contenders in the race, lteing beaten off many lengths. Jockeys A. Walsh, Rosen and Mblesworth got Into trouble, the first named being suspended for ten days for rough riding in the first race, and the others were lined 0 apiece for striking each other with their whips in the same race. Enlield and Pinkoia ran into eacii other this morning while exercising and while neither was seriously injured it will necessitate their being out of training temporarily. Jockey A. Wrispen, who was riding Enfield, was thrown and severely cut about the head.
