ISINGLASS, GREATEST TURF WINNER, DEAD. London, Eng., December 7. Isinglass, the famous stallion, died at Newmarket Tuesday at the age of 21 years. Isinglass was one of the most remarkable race horses of the last century, no holds the record as a winner on the turf, his total being 5280,675. In 1S03 he won the triple crownj the Two Thousand Guineas, Derby and St. Leger for Mr. narry McCalmont. The sire of Isinglass was Isonomy, himself a great race horse, while Isinglass was always considered Isonomys greatest son. The dam of Isinglass was Dead Lock, a daughter of Wenlock and Malpractice. Isinglass had beeni standing in recent years at Cheveley Park, near Newmarket. His service fee was 200 guineas.
