EARNINGS Of R. F. CARMANS BIG STABLE DURING 1911 4-, : The good Broomstick colt. Meridian, played an important part in advancing the fortunes of the R. F. Carman stable of 1011 and is a high-class young horse, as a Kentucky Derby winner should be. Broomsticks success as a .sire was one of the marked features of this years racing in England, as well as in this country. The really good Sain four-year-old. Colonel Ashmeade, was a fortunate and more than useful acquisition and, besides finishing second to Meridian in the matter of money won, at times showed himself to be a horse of great speed. Bonnie Kelso, Campeon, Rogon, Sir Alvescot, Cohort, Arcite, Sir Cleges and StarlKittle, all fairly good horses, have unsound legs, but contrived to contribute usefully to the following statement of the stable earnings of the year: Horse.
