1 WORK-OUTS OF HORSES AT COLUMBIA. Columbia, S. C. December 2S. Recent work-outs of horses, in training here over a heavy track were as follows: Animus Three-eighths in 40. Shows some of his old-time speed. Arany Half mile in 50. Works a great deal better than he races. Be Five-eighths in 1:0S. Was good- worl: considering track conditions. Belle Clem Three-eighths In 39i. Holds all her good speed and is ready. Bonnie Bee Three-quarters in 1:25. Has not been asked to show much speed. Carroll Half mile in 55J. Holds all his good speed and never was better. Casque Three-quarters in 1:231. Looks good and puts in a good work when set down. Creole Seven-eighths in 1:37J. Has been on the slow side for some time. Demoness Half mile in 5C. Shows speed and is ready. Dominica Half mile in 54s. Dora M. Lutz Half- mile in 57. Eagle Bird .Three-eighths in 3S. Holds all her speed and is ready. Footlights Five-eighths in 1:0S. Been going along slowly for some time. Helen Scott Three-quarters in 1:23 J. Has been on the slow side for some time. Hibernica Half mile in 54. Shows plenty of speed in the heavy going. Horicon Three-eighths in SS. At her best. Irish Kid Half mile in 5GJ. Ivabel Half mile in 53. Was going along in an easy manner. Jessup Burn Half mile in 53. Holds all bis good speed. Joe Rose Five-eighths in 1:07. Has all his speed and never looked better. Leon B. Five-eighths in 1:00. Was working along easily. Lighthouse Three-quarters in 1:24. Does not seem to improve much. Love Watches Five-eighths in 1:07. Eased up. Madman Half mile in 53. Shows speed in all his work. Mason Seven-eighths in 1:37. Coming around nicely to his best form. Nadzu Seven-eighths in 1:3S. Not much of a work horse. Outpost Mile in 1:54. Coming around fast to his best racing form. Premier Three-quarters in 1:252. Looks to be ready to race to his best form. Profile Half mile in 54. Shows speed in all his work. Republican Five-eighths in 1:00. Good work for him and he is now good. Richard Iteed Five-eighths in 1:10. Was well in hand through his work. Sarg Kirk Half mile in 57. Silas Grunip Three-eighths in 39. Stanley S. Three-quarters in 1:23. Has plenty of early speed and looks ready. The Moat Mile ill 1:53. Was going along nicely all the way. Tiger Jim Seven-eighths in 1:41. Has not been asked to show much speed. Union Jack Five-eighths in 1:00. Has plenty of speed and looks good. Ynca Three-quarters in 1:20. Was well in hand all the way.
