COPPERS closed a gap and finished fast. SIR ANGUS appeared the winner when a quarter out, but tired badly. VIRGINIA LINDSEY showed much s,peed and set the pace, but quit after being interfered with. FLYING FEET set the early pace and. after being passed, ran in closest pursuit and made a game finish.. LADY MACY took the lead on the baekstretch and might have won if allowed to run freely, but was rated under restraint in front and finally tired. SUGAR LUMP dropped out o. contention early. The latter took the lead quickly and, setting a fat pace, only succumbed right at the end of a good race. BALELLA ran in closest pursuit to the stretch, but tired in the final furlong.
