A GREAT RACE IN PROSPECT. The list of entries for the Champion Stakes is always scanned with great interest, and that for next year is quite equal in promise to auy of its predecessors. Unfortunately, however, paper promise in such cases is seldom fulfilled, and this year Lemberg. which won in 1910, was allowed to walk over. .Mr. Fairies horse is again engaged, proof that the statements that he was to retire to the stud were premature. Sir Martin, too. is evidently to remain in training, for a nomination has been taken for him. and others of the senior division are Bronzino and Greenback. The four-year-olds are a "swell" lot. including as they do Hornets Beauty, .Mushroom, Stedfast, King William, Prince Palatine and Atmali. while with Lomond, White Star, Absurd. Belleisle, Polkerris, Lorn, Coriander, Char-niian and Oiseau Bleu to represent the classic age, the entry is a thoroughly select one all round. Four nominations have been made in New York, and these will probably be to hand next week. London Sporting Life.
