CLOSE CALL FOR JOCKEYS THREE HORSES FALL DURING RUNNING OF RACE AT JUAREZ. Taplin and Molesworth Rendered Unconscious When Their Mounts Trip Over Kuropatkin — J. Schreiber Buys Horses at Snyder Disposal Sale. F.l Faso. Tex., January 39.— Two of the star Jockeys, Taplin and Molesworth. bad narrow escapes from death today during the running of the fourth race. Kuropatkin. ridden by Post, crossed bis legs and fell on the backstn Ich and Belle of the Bay. ridden by Taplin. and Regards, on which Molesworth had the mount, fell over bim. Both the last-named riders were picked up in an unconscious condition, but shortly recovered and are none the arorse for the accident. The horse Kuropatkin was so badly injured that tie bad to be immediately destroyed. The racing was excellent, although the winning of Lena Leca in the last event came as a shock to the talent. She took the lead early and won off by herself with the greatest of ease, showing sudd li and marked improvement over her recent form. W. ii. Yanke left tonight for Charleston with bis entire stable.
