BLUE BONNETS FALL STAKES ANNOUNCED Montreal Que July 15 Stake blanks for the fal meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club are now biins sent to horsemen throughout the country Ihe stakes close on Friday August 2 the last day but one of the second meeting at Fort Krie The fall meetings of the Montreal Jockey Club have always Ixen superior to those of the spring and this years should be no exception The Kings Plate race and the Provincial Nursery the latter being for two yearolds bred and raised in the Province of Quebec have lioth been increased in value this season and will be run during the fall meeting September 714 714The The value of the Kings Plate has been increased from year to year as an encouragement to the breed ing of horses in the Province of Quebec and this season will sec n better class answer the call than forriierly The Provincial Nursery is doing a great deal for the betterment of the breed of thorough ¬ breds There are eight stakes to be run during the seven days in the fall and sill are of a sullicicnt value to make them attractive to the best of tin owners now racing on this continent As in former years many newcomers to the fall meeting are looked for A number of those who raced on the Kentucky tracks during the early spring and sum ¬ mer have joined the Cadanian contingent and will finish out the season here hereSome Some horses are now stabled at Blue Bonnets having returned since the Hamilton meeting and will get work in the way of workouts instead of racing They will be fresh for the fall and will therefore have some advantage over others that have raced continuously The locsil trainers are busy getting tho Plate and Nursery eliglbles fit and the end of tho month will see them doing regular work at the barrier which has been put up in the seven furlongs chute The following are the stakes to be run during the alloted seven days daysHochelagn Hochelagn Handicap for twoyearolds 1000 added furlongsEarl six furlongs Earl Grey Cup Handicap for threeyearolds and over 1200 added one mile and a quarter Derby quarterDerby Cup a challenge cup presented by the Earl of Derby for threeyearolds and over the bona fide property of ti British subject residing in Canada prior to August 1 1912 1000 added one mile and threequarters threequartersChsimplain Chsimplain Selling Stakes for thrceyparolds and over 1000 added one milo miloStratheona Stratheona Steeplechase Handicap for fouryear olds and over 1000 added about two and one half miles milesHendrie Hendrie Memorial Steeplechase n challenge cup presented In memory of the late William Hendrie Esq by his son LicutCol William Hendrie for fouryearolds and over handicap 1200 added about three miles milesProvincial Provincial Nursery for twoyearolds owned foaled and raised in the Province of Quebec 700 added five furlongs furlongsKings Kings Plate Fifty Guineas the gift of his ma jesty King George V and 1500 added one mile and a quarter
